My two-part system for determining what characters to prioritize for leveling for PVP based on Iso-8 slots, some personal preferences, experience playing and some information gathered from online. This is less important for Chapter Missions. All characters when leveled up and properly slotted can be effective in Chapter Missions. This is more to do with how I build a PVP team.

THIS IS A SYSTEM THAT I’M TESTING, MIGHT NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE.
ALSO, LOOKS LIKE THIS MIGHT BE MY LAST POST, HERE’S WHY!
SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING TEAM CHARACTER PRIORITY
PART I – PRIORITY BASED ON STATS AND ISO-8 SLOTS
PART II – ABILITY PRIORITY
MY TEAM
A TWO PART SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING CHARACTER PRIORITY FOR LEVELING UP AND PVP
First in Part I, I determine which characters fulfill what I’ve prioritized as the most important factors/stats for PVP based solely on Iso-8 Slots.
In Part II, I determine what Abilities to prioritize and take a closer look at the characters for Ability and personal preferences.
After Part I and Part II, the characters will for the most part fit into two character type categories, “Survivable” and “Fast Hard Hitting” which really sum up what I’m looking for in Part I and Part II.
SURVIVABLE [Tank]
If the other team hits faster and harder, then your team has to be able to withstand the damage long enough to get their attacks out. A “Survivable” character serves as the “tank” of the team, using abilities like “Protecting” to take the bulk of the opponent’s attacks so the other teammates can focus on attacking.
PART I: Stat Priority:
Evasion or Defense, Health, Speed, Accuracy, Attack
Note:
Speed could be higher as it beneficial for the team for the Tank to activate an Ability that aids in the survivability of the entire team ASAP, especially with”Fast Hard Hitting” characters on either side.
ie. Wasp‘s Queen Bee Ability
Attack and Accuracy are also somewhat important because it’s possible that your “tank” will be the last surviving member of your team, and he/she needs to be able to attack and hit the opponent.
Goal:
The idea is to have atleast 1 teammate who draws attacks, and either be un-hitable, or take very little damage, and ideally be able attack and hit the enemy still.

PART II – Ability Priority
Further deduction based on Abilities
Abilities To Prioritize (including Tactical, Innate, and Passive) –
The following abilities and attributes ideally with the strongest and highest number of Buffs, to boost Evasion/Defense/Health (Speed), and Debuffs and DOTs, to opponents, to as many characters as possible (AOE – All Allies/Heroes, All Enemies) in service to the “goal:”
1. Protecting
2. Healing
Additional Stat Boosts: Attack, Accuracy
Speed: Extremely Fast
Additional Team Buffs such as Shields, Stealth, clear Debuffs,
More detail on Part II
FAST HARD HITTING
Hit first and hit hard so that the battle doesn’t last more than 3 attacks by your team total.
PART I: Stat Priority:
Speed, Attack, Accuracy
Goal:
The idea is for your team to land a very very hard hit first. If your team is the fastest and hits the hardest, you could possibly end the fight before needing to really defend. But you can play it safe by having atleast 1 “Survivable” teammate.
Tip: If you can get a teammate to be the ultimate “Fast Hard Hitting” character that can practically 1-shot an entire opponent’s team, it might be worth having 2 other “Survivable” teammates to protect this MVP! The two “tanks” can alternate “Protecting,” just try to use “Survivable“teammates who also have offensive capabilities. Also, one thing to watch out for is opponents that have a preemptive, pre-counter or counter free-attack ability like Iron Fist. You wouldn’t want your ‘Fast Hard Hitter‘ to go down before he/she can even attack! Not even a “tank” can protect you from that!

PART I – PRIORITY BASED ON STATS AND ISO-8 SLOTS
First I look at the character EQUIP slots and prioritize the characters that have the most slots of the same color. I found with this method, there seemed to be somewhat of a correlation to what characters were being used the most for PVP.
ie. Wasp (5 purple, 2 silver, 1 red)
In general any character with the least number of colors divided between the 8 slots.
Then within those I determine if they fall into either category of ‘Fast Hard Hitting‘ or ‘Survivable‘. Usually I gravitate towards the characters with 4+ slot colors associated in the stat I want to prioritize. In the case for ‘Survivable‘, that would be Evasion (purple), Defense (blue) … etc and Fast Hard Hitting, Speed (silver), Attack (red),…
Personally I prioritize Evasion (purple), Defense (blue) and Health (green) and then the rest: Speed, Accuracy, Attack
The following combos are based solely on Equip slots which correlate to a character’s Stats!

PART II – Ability Priority
Part I is just the starting point. Part 2 can help determine where each character will end up. Some will move up solely based on preferences.
Once I have narrowed down characters that fulfill either of the requirements from Part 1, I prioritize characters in the following order:
a. Characters that are both Fast Hard Hitting and Survivable. ie. Black Widow
b. Characters who are Survivable over Fast Hard Hitting – I find myself staying on the safe side where if the opponent happens to have Faster Harder Hitters, or characters who are both Fast Hard Hitting and Survivable, my Fast Hard Hitters would die leaving those who are Survivable, that’s why a. is a priority.
c. Atleast 1 Survivable character with DOT if not ALL characters (to go up against Survivable opponents) – AOE or Single, with Buff/Debuffs (ie. Touch of Death or Wounding)
d. Atleast 1 character with a Healing (preferably Survivable)- AOE or Single with Attack and/or Buffs/Debuffs
e. If a. isn’t available, then atleast 1 character with Protecting, to protect characters who are only Fast Hard Hitting.
f. Then:
Free-Attacks
Stealth
Shields, etc.
Buff and Debuff Attacks
and other abilities
Note: Some of these attributes can also be found in Active Set Bonuses from Iso-8 slotted in EQUIP. How you slot your Iso-8 is essential to building a winning PVP team.
EQUIP – Iso-8 and Slotting Priority for PVP
Exceptions:
Based on secondary factors like abilities and personal tastes, Characters in Tiers Two, Three and Four could move up in priority, though I would probably still start with those in Tier One, working my way down to others I prioritized from the other Tiers.
ie.
Characters I’d like to test in PVP listed at the bottom of this post, including:
Characters like Captain America 1901 who has some “protecting” abilities, team defensive Buffs, team Healing, and has offensive abilities like WOUNDING DOT and AOE BLEEDING DOT!
Agent 13 – for her Healing, WOUNDING DOT, and some other interesting abilities
M.O.D.O.K. – for all his Buffs and Defbuffs
Iron Man – for his WOUND synergies
Electro – for his Shock synergies
Thor – for his Free-Attacks and Shock synergies
Hawkeye Age of Ultron – for his Free-Attacks, etc…
So who do I use for PVP?
At the end of the day it’s up to you, even my top 3 here aren’t always my PVP team. Consider everything. Sometimes, you choose what you choose cause you want to.
If anyone is interested maybe I’ll write up an individual post to go in depth for each of my PVP team, including their Stats, Ability Rotation and Slotting like I’ve done for Deathlok so far. But for now:
Black Widow – Mainstay/MVP:
She can sometimes 1-shot an entire opponent’s team if not get them almost dead AND she’s also “Survivable” with very good Evasion. Great teammate even after they nerfed her. I have Ballerina 4 Star; it’s still so strong, it’s my go-to attack at the start of a battle. Then I have Widowmaker, for opponents like Wasp, and lastly, Shocking Touch, as an option for when I want to save Ballerina, or just want to hit a single opponent and give a them another DOT if they already have TOUCH OF DEATH. Shocking Touch‘s STATIC SHOCK DOT has a more immediate, repeatable effect and will work well with other teammates with Shock. Love her, a must have. An alternate ability for Shocking Touch for me is Systema esp if you 4 Star. ALSO, definitely EQUIP her with VEILED Set Iso-8 for the Active Set Bonus, but prioritize stronger Iso-8 over that though.
Groot
Quickly, Groot can be one of the best “Survivable” characters. He “Protects,” heals, and you can pick an ability so that he can also attack. The abilities I’ve chosen for my Groot are I Am Groot, Forest Guardian, and Impaling Branches. Sometimes I may change out one of the last two but I won’t go into that here. Impaling Branches is my go to attack because it can apply BLEEDING DOT which has been the winning factor against an opponent team with Wasp when the rest of my team was dead. As I’ve said, sometimes your “tank” could be the last survivor, and he/she HAS to be able to attack, and a DOT is highly recommended esp.against Wasp, esp. if she also has Rejuvenating Set Iso-8 Active Set Bonus slotted. You have no idea how many times it’s been one-on-one with Wasp, and the battle would go back and forth for like 15 minutes, with Groot winning because of his healing ability and DOT.
Luke Cage
Luke Cage is a hit or miss with me. He was my original “Survivable” “tank” so I use him sometimes by default when I’m not trying out a character. I find that he works best alternating with another “Survivable” “tank.” And though he doesn’t have a preferable DOT attack he can have great Free-Attacks, so it’s equally important for him to have good Accuracy so that his attacks actually hit. I have Street Smarts, Pain Train, and Sweet Christmas as his slotted abilities, though at first, if he isn’t strong enough as a tank, I might recommend changing out Pain Train with Steel Cage.
Wasp
She could possibly be the best “Survivable” “tank.” I got her after both Luke Cage and Groot. I often alternate her with either Groot or use them both. She has great “Protecting” abilities AND some of he best team Buff and opponent Debuffs (though M.O.D.O.K.‘s skill set is pretty amazing, he just doesn’t have Wasp‘s “Survivability.”) If you slot her correctly, she could be untouchable, which could also mean that she could possibly be the last surviving member of your team,so it’s integral that you give her an attack ability. My slotted abilities right now re Queen Bee, Bioenergy Blast, and Drone Swarm.
Note: In the past I’ve had Black Widow as a mainstay, rotating Groot, Wasp and Luke Cage with one of the characters I’m testing …
Currently testing:
Iron Fist, Spider-Man, and leveling up to test Dare Devil, Spider-Woman, and Captain America 1901
Would like to test:
Moon Knight, Ant-Man, Agent 13, Drax, Gamora, Captain America, Iron Man, Electro, Nova, Iron Man (Civil War), Captain America (Civil War), Hawkeye (Age of Ultron), M.O.D.O.K., Hawkeye, Deathlok, Starlord, Mr. Hyde, Thor, Vision, Nebula, War Machine and Hulk.
If you’re interested, I can post my builds for these characters in future posts.
