Almost to the quarter point to this 24 chapter story!  Warren had stated that each 6 issues would be an arc to the overall 24 chapter story!  What will it reveal?  What new ideas and characters will be introduced?  What set up and cliffhanger will it have for the 6th issue?  Lets find out in The Wild Storm Chapter Five!  And at the very bottom, I’ll link some other reviews and also a sneak peak at TWS issue #7’s cover and solicitation via Newsarama!

The Wild Storm #4 Meanderings

I’ve been a little behind this month because of my new job.  This month’s also shorter than my previous posts.  Just not as much to say about this issue.   It trods along, but as usual, the issues seem shorter than I’d like, or atleast not as dense as I’d like.  If the Authority was wide-screen action film, then The Wild Storm is like an adult TV show like those from HBO/Showtime/Netflix, etc in it’s pacing with the exception that it’s not an hour long worth of material, I’m not sure it’s even 1/2 hour’s length, but I still enjoy it.  I just want more!!!!  What do you guys think?

Well,.. please scroll down and check out my Meanderings in Chapter 4 of The Wild Storm!

MEANDERINGS

Ah Henry Bendix.  Boy does he look ugly and evil.  I’ll be honest, I like his original interpretation more.  Previously he was more like Captain Picard, not as old, and not so creepy.  Here he kinda looks like Weyland from Prometheus ha ha.  I suppose this is supposed to show that he’s a stereotypical evil bad guy who wants to control the world?

What I do like is that I think he’s looking down on Earth from space, and the Earth here is a reflection off the window Henry is looking through.  I didn’t really notice it until I thought about what I was seeing more.   It’s pretty cool and smart.  Otherwise I feel it’s easily overlooked by what it seems to be saying. WildStorm Update + Speculation, + Wild Times: An Oral History of WildStorm Studios

New The Wild Storm Images!

Bleeding Cool News reported from the MCM London Comic Con with some new images for the upcoming Warren Ellis book The Wild Storm with artist Jon Davis-Hunt, the flagship title for the pop-up imprint WildStorm which Warren Ellis will be curating for DC Comics.

They have also reported that the new WildStorm Universe will be more of a reimagining, vesus a “rebirth” as with the main line of DCU comics.

Below we see two photos Bleeding Cool got from a DC panel where Dan Didio showed these images in relation to The Wild Storm. Continue reading WildStorm Update + Speculation, + Wild Times: An Oral History of WildStorm Studios

What is The Wild Storm?! Is the WildStorm Universe better on it’s own? – Speculation

Oh Wildstorm fans, this is a great day!  October 4, 2016 it’s been announced that in February 2017 DC Comics will launch another pop-up imprint, Wildstorm, like Gerard Way’s Young Animal with Warren Ellis as curator and writer of the main book THE WILD STORM with artist, Jon Davis-Hunt, the artist of Vertigo‘s Clean Room.  2017 also happens to be the 25th Anniversary for WildStorm Studios!!

Update: This is all my speculation on the new WildStorm pre-launch.  For new details read THIS too!
